Moosicorn Ranch is an experiment at sustainable living. Our first project is our home: The Barn.

Here the barn is dried in and has final grading around it. The lower level is a workshop while the upstairs is a two bedroom loft-style apartment. Roll your mouse over the image to read more about the products we used on the exterior.

Solar panels are planned for 2010 after we install septic. Wind power is planned for 2011.

The interior will feature a variety of beautiful and environmentally freindly products inlcuding Forbo Marmolium, Ceasarstone, Zero VOC stains and paint, energy efficient windows and doors, ductless AC, efficient and comfortable radiant heat flooring. We’ve chosen to run everything with electricity because we will be powered by solar and wind energy.

Follow our journey as we build our own sustainable farm, cottages, gardens, businesses and dreams. We’re going to publish everything we can on our website: how-to’s, lessons learned, costs, challenges and victories. Please comment and share with us.
Thanks,

Scott and Alex
